West Mersea Beach Hut Day with Besties

The Bathing Huts of West Mersea - Preview Day! 💕

What a great day having my oldest and dearest friends come from all over

the country to christen The Bathing Huts of West Mersea - Lillian 246 and Winnie 541,

My 2 darling Beach Huts x

And Christen them we did...with 10 Adults and 3 Woofers...both Huts were needed! Each and every piece of crockery & cutlery, frying pans, saucepans and chopping boards were used, creating egg, bacon & sausage sarnies, and dishing up homemade cakes (my friend is a master baker!). But it was the Kettle and the champagne bucket that were the heroes of the day...providing endless cups of tea, coffee & hot chocolate and chilling the celebratory bottles of champers (there were a few!)

The seating was comfortable for all...and they loved the indoor L Shaped Cushioned Banquet seating, the High Back Camping chairs, but the ones that were fought over were the 2 Adirondack Chairs...these were definitely coveted and instagrammed! And with the 3 indoor/outdoor tables, the 'party' was definitely catered for! The Beach huts were a hit!

We even got the woofers seal of approval! They loved the dog treats provided, their own designer dog bowl and even enjoyed ( but their owners liked more!) the dog leash tethers on each deck! Leaving them to wander and snooze in the sun whilst their owners continued with the endless tea and champers!

Finally, at the end of the day there were 4! Who after the mammoth clear up task...rewarded ourselves with the always delicious fish n chips (with curry sauce, obviously!) from the Mersea Island Fish Bar - https://merseafishbar.co.uk/ , washed down with the obligatory bottle of Pink!

Winnie 541 and Lillian 246 were declared a triumph and designated our new monthly meeting place for beach hut days with Besties (woofers too!) x

So be it with Besties, families, woofers or a solo escape - The Bathing Huts of West Mersea have been approved as the place to be!
